Cancer Patients in Southern Ukraine Access Medical Cannabis Through Local Pharmacy

A pharmacy in Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine, is now producing cannabis-based medications for cancer patients available through electronic prescriptions. These medications aim to alleviate cancer-related pain and other debilitating symptoms associated with the disease and its treatments. This local pharmaceutical initiative represents a significant expansion of Ukraine's medical cannabis program, which began dispensing treatments in other cities in June. The availability of cannabis therapeutics provides cancer patients with an additional evidence-based option for symptom management and improved quality of life during treatment.
