Clinical Trial Compares Psilocin and Psilocybin Effects in Humans

A clinical trial with 20 healthy adults compared oral psilocin and psilocybin administration, along with various doses of sublingual psilocin. Results indicate that oral and sublingual psilocin produced similar subjective experiences to psilocybin, but with fewer adverse effects. This research provides valuable pharmacokinetic data on different administration routes and formulations of these psychoactive compounds. The findings suggest potential advantages for psilocin as a therapeutic option in future clinical applications, particularly regarding tolerability and safety profiles.
