European Consortium Develops Off-the-Shelf Cell Immunotherapy for Multiple Myeloma

A European consortium of twelve partners is developing an innovative off-the-shelf cell immunotherapy to treat multiple myeloma, a currently incurable blood cancer. The iN-KEY project, launching in October, aims to make advanced cellular therapy more accessible by manufacturing therapeutic cells in advance for use across different patients. This approach could democratize access to cell-based treatments, which are typically personalized and expensive. The initiative represents significant progress in oncology, offering new hope for multiple myeloma patients who currently face limited curative options.
