Multiple Puerto Rico government agencies urged the Senate on Tuesday to expand its investigation into social media and digital platform sweepstakes, while companies and promoters also requested formal regulation, particularly through the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO). DACO endorsed legislation and recommended examining whether current regulations adequately protect consumers participating in online sweepstakes.
