Medical Societies Form Alliance to Strengthen Specialized Cancer and Heart Care

Four Dominican medical societies—Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Radiation Oncology—have signed a groundbreaking intersociety agreement to advance cardio-oncology and provide more integrated patient care. This alliance addresses the growing need for coordinated treatment as cancer patients increasingly face cardiac complications from their disease and therapies. The partnership aims to improve clinical outcomes by fostering collaboration among specialists in managing patients with concurrent heart and cancer conditions.
