ODSEC Launches Digital Fraud Prevention Training for Seniors

Puerto Rico's Office for Socioeconomic and Community Development (ODSEC) announced a new initiative to train 300 seniors in technology use and digital fraud protection through five regional workshops led by subject matter experts. This program addresses the growing vulnerability of older adults to online scams and financial exploitation, which can have significant impacts on their financial security and well-being. The training will equip seniors with practical knowledge to safely navigate digital tools and recognize common fraud schemes. This proactive approach aims to empower seniors to protect themselves while confidently engaging with technology in their daily lives.
