Puerto Rico Launches Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Campaign with 400,000 Doses

Puerto Rico's Department of Public Health has launched a seasonal influenza vaccination campaign offering over 400,000 doses at 1,350 vaccination sites across the island. The initiative, coordinated by the Immunoprevention by Vaccines Division, aims to prevent serious complications associated with the flu virus. Seasonal influenza can lead to severe respiratory infections, hospitalizations, and potentially life-threatening complications, particularly in vulnerable populations such as elderly individuals, young children, and those with chronic health conditions. Vaccination remains the most effective preventive measure against influenza and its complications.
