Tam-Peli Extends Survival by Nearly Four Months in Relapsed Small-Cell Lung Cancer

A phase 3 clinical trial called TAISHAN-302 demonstrated that tambotatug pelitecan (Tam-Peli, YL201), a novel antibody-drug conjugate targeting B7-H3, significantly improved overall survival, progression-free survival, and objective response rates compared to topotecan in patients with relapsed small-cell lung cancer. The findings, presented at the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer's 2026 World Conference, represent an important advance for patients with this aggressive cancer type who have exhausted initial treatment options. Small-cell lung cancer is a particularly challenging disease with limited therapeutic options for recurrent cases. This breakthrough offers new hope for improving outcomes and extending survival in this vulnerable patient population.
