A new study by Estudios Técnicos, Inc. in partnership with Grace Health Puerto Rico reveals that hospice services for chronic patients at home generate $142 million in economic impact while improving healthcare efficiency. End-of-life hospice care reduces prolonged hospitalizations and unnecessary medical interventions, allowing for more efficient use of medical resources. The research demonstrates that home-based palliative care not only benefits patients by enabling them to spend final stages of life with family in familiar settings, but also strengthens Puerto Rico's healthcare system and economy.
